Note: The device can work as a Bluetooth thermometer on its own, with a Bluetooth range of up to 197 feet when not connected to a gateway. To enable remote app alerts, you’ll need a compatible gateway (H5151, H5042, or H5043). The gateway is sold separately. If you connect the thermometer directly, you’ll have app proximity alerts within range while the app runs in the background.
